Dr. Wong will be giving a free talk at Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture on March 5, 2:30-3:30pm. This is the second part of her series on healthy eating. She will be speaking on toxins and chemicals in foods. She’ll answer questions on what do certain terms mean, what chemicals are we regularly exposed to in foods, how do we limit our exposure, and how do we eliminate toxins through diet.

AACA just became a POCA clinic! POCA $10 Special

The People’s Organization for Community Acupuncture (POCA) is a multi-stakeholder cooperative of community acupuncture clinics, acupuncturists, and patients all across North America. POCA’s mission is to make acupuncture accessible to people of different backgrounds in order to make social change in healthcare. Part of its vision is to build long-term stable services based on fair treatment for everyone.

In order to be a POCA clinic, AACA must abide by POCA guidelines that would uphold their vision for fair and sustainable healthcare. Like POCA, our goal is to put people’s health back into their own hands by offering affordable, effective care to all members of our community. Being a POCA clinic will help us find ways to continue to provide this service to Ann Arbor. We’re excited to be part of this movement. You can be part of this movement too. Anyone can become a member. Membership is on a $25-100 sliding scale. When you become a POCA member, you can get $10 treatments from Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture for all of July and August.

$10 Acupuncture Treatments for Community Volunteers

Do you volunteer at your church, at the library, at the nursing home, or anywhere else in the community? Everyone deserves some recognition now and then. We’d like to recognize the important work you do for our community this month by offering all community volunteers $10 treatments during the month of June. Come in and serve yourself so that you can continue to serve your community organizations with your best you.

Normal cost of treatment is sliding scale $20-$40. First time $10 fee is waived with this special.

$10 Community Acupuncture Treatments for Nurses

All through the month of April, nurses and medical support staff can get acupuncture treatments for $10. We want to recognize how hard these people work to serve our community. Nurses and medical support staff often have to be on call and work long and unusual hours. Many of these caregivers have fatigue, trouble sleeping, and other health issues of their own. Come take care of yourself or a loved one with acupuncture this month.

Free Acupuncture Offered at Grand Opening 3/21 & 3/22

Have you heard a lot about acupuncture, but haven’t had a chance to actually try it? Come to Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture on Saturday, March 21, 2015 and/or Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 10am to 5pm to try it out for free! We are so happy to be open and serving Ann Arbor. What better way to introduce ourselves and acupuncture to our community than by relaxing and pigging out together? We will have light refreshments available, and Evan and Cheryl will be there all day to answer any questions you have about whether acupuncture is the right fit for you. No need to make an appointment for the open house. Just come right in!

Free Acupuncture at Bolton Landing Farmer’s Market!

Dr. Wong will be teaming up with the Bolton Landing Farmer’s Market on August 1 from 9am to 1pm offering free acupuncture demos! The Bolton Landing Farmer’s Market hosts community events all summer long. Check them out by clicking the brochure picture below. On August 1 from 9am to 1pm, they will be hosting their “Wellness Day.” Come by and chat with local farmers, get some groceries, and get pampered. There will also be chair yoga, chiropractic, hypnosis, and reiki practitioners there.

Free Sleep Lecture and Acupuncture Demo!

On Tuesday, May 13 at 6-7:30pm, I’ll be giving a lecture on sleep followed by a brief acupuncture demo at Saratoga Springs’s Green Conscience.
